A two-bedroom apartment in Motor City rebuilt from the structure out. Walls came down to open the kitchen into the living and dining space, new partitions squared off the entry and the closet, and the plumbing, lighting and power were all re-run before a single finish went on. The palette stays in warm off-whites and oak, with fluted joinery, concealed handles and backlit shelving doing the decorative work. Both bathrooms were re-waterproofed and tiled floor to ceiling, and the walk-in closet was built as one continuous run of lit cabinetry.
